We are thrilled to present OPERATION: OFF-GRID. Our latest initiative to bring even more tools to high-end film productions and off-grid environments and to provide offline alternatives. Over the last few months, our team has developed seven new, affordable enterprise applications for a wide range of users.

All apps are designed specifically for workflows involving sensitive footage or that play in an off-grid and air-gapped environment, where cloud services or internet connectivity are not an option or pose a security risk. Best of all, all app come with a simple promise:
one price, lifetime access, no subscription required.

1. Server for Live Timecode Notes

This new macOS application is designed to turn any Mac into a mobile server for hosting Live Timecode Note events. A on-premises solution that allows production and post-production teams to run the Live Timecode Notes collaboration platform entirely within their secure local network. Developed to meet the workflow demands of Productions like Reality-TV, Live Shows, Game Shows, Music Shows, Late-Night-Shows, Studio Recording, Documentaries and others, the product ensures maximum data confidentiality and reliability in any environment.

• Complete Off-Grid Operation: It hosts all note projects and syncs them within a local network. This feature is perfect for remote sets, secure facilities, or server room deployment in a studio.
• Zero Client Limits: The server allows an unlimited number of Live Timecode Notes Enterprise clients on iOS and macOS to connect simultaneously.
• No Project Limits: There are no limits on the number of projects that can run simultaneously.
• API & Automation: The server offers an open API endpoint similar to the one on the EditingTools.io API to add notes from third-party apps via cURL commands or other automation tools.
• Supports IPv4 and IPv6 local networks for maximum compatibility with modern routers.
• The server app can run on any MacOS 11.5+, including the MacBook, iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Air.
• Port: The server runs on port 50550 by default but the port can be freely chosen and changed.
• Backup: The server offers a standardised backup option for projects.
• Perpetual license: In line with its enterprise focus, the Server app is offered with a perpetual license, like the client. This eliminates recurring license costs and simplifies procurement.

2. Live Timecode Notes Enterprise

The client application for creating timecode-based notes for shows and live events. Ideal for Loggers, DITs, script supervisors, and producers. Offers offline projects or can connect to local running Live Timecode Notes Server.

3. Marker Tool & Converter

This is the first online converter we decided to turned into an offline app, due to numerous customer requests. It incorporates many of the features of our popular Marker Converter into an offline format. It's the go-to tool for converting notes and markers from and to various formats, as well as to and from non-linear editing (NLE) systems. It's essential for cross-platform collaboration.

4. EDL Tool & Converter

Since there aren't many useful ALE file apps for iOS, we've also made our ALE tool available on iOS and macOS. An easy to use tool for converting and modifying Avid Log Exchange (ALE) files on a local system.

We are also working to convert our Subtitle Tool into an offline app for macOS and iOS. It is one of the most used tools on EditingTools.io for converting and modifying subtitle files.

We have one more powerful app joining the OFF-GRID operation, designed to solve an often requested issue in film productions. The app is nearly finished and soon ready to be shipped. Stay tuned for the announcement!
